🔥 Major New Anime & Sequels 

Here are some of the most exciting new anime and sequel shows that were announced at Anime Japan 2026. Keep your eyes out for these! 

Dandelion (Netflix Original Anime Series)

• Release: April 16, 2026

• This new anime comes from the legendary creator of Gintama, Hideaki Sorachi! This "corporate angel" comedy looks exactly like the chaotic humor we’ve been craving.

Shiboyugi: Paying Death Games to Put Food on the Table Movie 

• Release: July 10, 2026

•  Playing Death Games to Put Food on the Table had its anime adaptation airing from January to March 2026. The sequel movie 44: Cloudy Beach promises to keep the high-stakes tension alive this summer.

Sparks of Tomorrow (Kyoto Animation)

• Release: July 5, 2026

• KyoAni is back with their signature breathtaking visuals. This "age of electricity" adventure looks like a visual masterpiece. Check out the trailer for the new show up above! 

Hono No Tokyuji: Dodge Danko 

• Release: Still to be announced

• This brand new anime is a follow-up to Testuhiro Koshita's 1989 manga series, Hono no Tokyuji: Dodge Danpie.Check out the trailer above!

You and I are Polar Opposites Season 2 

• Release: July 2026 

• People just can’t get enough of Miyu and Tani! After a successful Winter Anime 2026 season, You and I are Polar Opposites will be returning for a new batch of episodes this July.

One Piece: Elbaph Arc

• The Straw Hats are finally hitting the land of Giants! The new trailer featuring AiNA THE END (who absolutely crushed the DAN DA DAN opening) sent the East Stage into a frenzy.

Magic Knight Rayearth (Reboot)

• Release: October 2026

• The 90s CLAMP classic is being reborn with a brand new series! With the main trio officially cast, this was easily one of the most nostalgic moments of the convention. Check out the trailer above.
  

Steel Ball Run: JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure
